While we are all #stayingathome to help keep all of our communities as safe as possible during Covid-19, we wanted to give you an update on what's happening for Trailmixer.
First, we are still planning on the Mt. Shasta climb in July. 11 of our intrepid climbers will be seeking to summit this cascade beauty all while raising funds to support safe outdoor opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth.
Second, in preparation for the challenge above we are having small, and socially distanced training hikes in local National Forests that are open, on trails that allow for safe distancing between each other. We will resume larger group fun hikes once the CDC and CA state guidelines approve these activities.
And last but not least, even though the virus has halted, delayed and in some instances cancelled many public activities, we are happy to report that the beneficiary for the money we raise, Brave Trails, has instituted a virtual camp so they can still provide safe & educational experiences for LGBTQ+ youth during these uncertain times. Having this virtual programming ensures a terrific outlet for curious young minds, while adhering to social distancing standards.
Sign up for our newsletter and stay tuned for more updates on all of these Trailmixer activities.
