Join us for our Unicorn Hike, a Collaborative & Educational Community Event

Join us and Camp Brave Trails for an in-person hike of the Los Angeles River Exploration & Indigenous LGBTQIA+ Culture!

Join us and our friends from Camp Brave Trails for an easy hike along the Los Angeles River and down to the banks of the water to make bird and plant observations, learn about local ecological history, and discuss ecological practices and LGBTQIA+ culture of the Indigenous people of the area, the Tongva/Kizh/Gabrieleño nation. This event provides an opportunity to learn more about the nature that is all around us even while in a big city, and to look back to a time when the rightful caretakers of this land lived in harmony with that nature.

COVID Precautions:

  • If you are unvaccinated, we encourage you to wear a mask on the hike

  • 3 feet of distance should be kept between hikers not in the same party

  • If you are feeling any covid-related symptoms we ask that you stay home for the safety of others

All LGBTQ+ youth, ages 12-18, are welcome to attend.

Date: Saturday, October 23, 2021

Time: 9:00 – 11:00 AM

Cost: Free, but please RSVP because space is limited.
