Mineral King - Sequoia National Park, California

Mineral King was a weekend experience. Eleven of us participated of Trailmixer's Climbing Event Fundraiser. We each took 66,221 steps, climbed for 30 miles with a total altitude gain of over 8500 ft; and we raised over $20,000 for the Trailmixer scholarship fund benefiting LGBTQ+ youth. This remote area of Sequoia National Park was a beautiful backdrop for the several climbs we did over the weekend, with the highlight being the main climb up to Sawtooth Peak, summit 12,400 feet.
