Trailmixer OUTdoor Access Fund (TOAF)

2019-1226-Trailmixer-logo-Rainbow-1024x1

Trailmixer is a community of hikers who climb mountains to raise money for the Trailmixer OUTdoor Access Fund. Benefitting underserved LGBTQ+ youth, the funds we raise pay for leadership program scholarships and events that provide fun, safe access to the outdoors.

Your Donations at Work

Since our establishment in 2019, Trailmixer has raised over $155,000, enabling the TOAF to award over 120 scholarships to low-income BIPOC and LGBTQ+ young adults. These scholarships pay for uplifting educational experiences that teach leadership skills and principles of environmental stewardship. With TOAF, we strive to build confidence and new relationships - while fostering a lifelong love of the outdoors.

2022

Trailmixer completed three incredible fundraiser climbs to support our OUTdoor Access Fund and raised a total of $44,345.58 to be awarded as scholarships to low-income POC/LGBTQ+ youththrough one of our amazing partners listed below.

Funds raised in 2019 were originally earmarked for Summer 2020 scholarships to Camp Brave Trails. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brave Trails pivoted to an online camp program. Of the original $50,000 awarded, $300 was used for two need-based scholarships to the online camp program, and $2,500 was set aside for the Staff POC (Person of Color) Stipend for Summer 2021.
