To our Trailmixer supporters,

 

We are disheartened to share that the fundraising platform we use, Flipcause, recently declared bankruptcy and owes $29 million to nonprofits nationwide. Unfortunately, we have not been spared from this. Over the past few months after numerous attempts, we have been unsuccessful in receiving the thousands of dollars of donations made to us and our OUTdoor Access Fund from the platform.

 

We rely on these donations to continue operating as a nonprofit and to provide outdoor program scholarships to those in need. We are actively working to recover those funds through the California Attorney General’s office. Although it is possible we will not be able to receive the donations that you all have so generously given us over the last few months, we will keep trying.

 

If you make sustaining gifts to us (annual or quarterly donations, etc.), please be sure to cancel those transactions made to Flipcause, as we will not ever receive them. If you would like to continue to support Trailmixer, please reach out to us for alternative ways to donate (sending a check, Zelle, etc.).

 

We appreciate everyone’s generous support this year, and we thank you for your patience with us as we figure out our next steps as an organization.
