Time at Trailhead: 9 am Click here to join this hike.

Length: 11 miles r/t

Elevation Gain: 4,000ft

Summit Elevation: 10,064

Level: Difficult

We're gonna do this one the hard way! If you haven't done the Backbone Trail to Mount Baldy summit, you're in for a treat. Easily one of the best trails in SoCal. But it's strenuous, and the summit is over 10,000 feet, so we will feel the altitude. Bring 2-3 liters of water, lunch and lots of energy snacks. Sturdy boots, sunglasses, sunblock and a hat are a must. Hiking poles recommended.

Parking at Manker Flats gets full, so we're gonna start early at 9:00 AM. Adventure Pass required to park. Meet at the trailhead a little past the campground.
